Corsair 5000d airflow fan setup
Members. 1. Posted December 19, 2021. Hey Everyone, I recently bought a 5000D airflow case. I have 6 intake fans and 4 exhaust fans (3 top 1 rear). My question is does having the top exhaust fan right next to the intake fans hurt the airflow. My thinking was the top two intake fans would bring air in and right out the top frontmost exhaust fan.Then again, there is the possibility of squeezing a 120mm between 2 140mm on the front. Also heard of top mounting = hotter CPU, and front mount = hotter GPU/everything else. TL;DR: 3 120mm or 2 140mm. and 5000d airflow - 10 120mm fans or 4 140mm fans. What is the optimal config. 1.Front fits two 140s max. Our H170i has a length of 450mm so it won't fit. There's enough for 420mm of space but you have to account for the rad tanks. I have a 5000x and a 5000D Airflow. I noticed in my 5000x that theres no way a 420 would fit up top but it looks like you could fit one in the front.
